Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and safely deliver radiation treatments on Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon systems
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and advanced patient positioning for precise therapy
• Execute beam modifying and positioning techniques to optimize treatment plans
• Conduct dosimetry checks and thorough chart checks to ensure accurate delivery
• Respond quickly and calmly to emergency situations using Crash Cart/Defibrillator protocols
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to provide excellent patient care
• Provide compassionate patient education and support throughout the treatment process
• Document treatments and interventions clearly and timely in ARIA (v15)

Qualifications

• Current Ohio state license (required)
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Technology (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience (at least 5 years preferred)
• Proven competency on Varian TrueBeam, Halcyon, and ARIA v15
• Experience with VisionRT/OSMS, DIBH, SRS, CBCT imaging, and dosimetry is a plus
• Comfort working with all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Able to work the listed day shift schedule and attend a full orientation week

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in LINAC operation (TrueBeam, Halcyon)
• Strong imaging skills: CBCT, kV, mV
• Familiarity with ARIA v15 charting and workflow
• Dosimetry basics and chart-check competency
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) experience and electron field setup
• Beam modifying and precise patient positioning techniques
• Comfort with pediatric and adult oncology populations, including head & neck cases
• Emergency response readiness: crash cart and defibrillator use
