Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support safe mobility and transfers and help maintain resident dignity
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
- Collaborate with the care team to create a comfortable, home-like environment
- Assist with meal service, feeding, and ensuring hydration and comfort
Qualifications
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
- Comfortable working the evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to elder care
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic clinical observation and reporting skills
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Clear, respectful communication with residents and team members
- Infection control and hygiene best practices in a long-term care setting
