Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and document findings clearly
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their responsible parties to support recovery
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize, report and escalate changes in patient condition
• Deliver high-quality orthopedic nursing care including post-op monitoring and pain management
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records in accordance with facility standards
• Contribute to a healthy workplace by managing conflict professionally and communicating effectively
• Participate in continuing education to maintain best-practice care and meet Core Measure responsibilities

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Orthopedic nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in continuing education
• Familiarity with medical record documentation and core clinical measures
