Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide life-saving respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in Level 3 NICU and PICU
• Perform intubations, surfactant administration, and delivery room resuscitation
• Manage advanced ventilators and respiratory equipment including Crossvent, Airvo, Bunnell Jet, and Drager VN500
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed for optimal outcomes
• Educate and support families on respiratory care and equipment

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent NICU and PICU respiratory therapy experience required
• Level 3 NICU experience or pediatric critical care experience required; adult-only experience not sufficient
• Must hold current NRP, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
• Delivery room experience highly preferred
• Ability to float to Adult ICU, Floors, Level 2/3/4 NICU, PICU, and PEDI units as needed
• Fast learner with a team-oriented mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neonatal and pediatric critical care respiratory therapy
• Proficient in ventilator management, including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
• Skilled in delivery room stabilization and surfactant therapy
• Knowledge of nitric oxide therapy and airway management
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
