Location: El Paso, Texas

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend rotation (4 weekends per month, Friday/Saturday for night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage life-support equipment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate and support families during challenging times
Document patient progress accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience required
BLS and PALS certifications required
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care nursing
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Meditech EMR proficiency
Team collaboration and patient advocacy
