Location: Lawton, Oklahoma

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with call; includes 1-2 weekend call days per 13-week period (36-hour guarantee)

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgery by assessing their condition and providing emotional support
Assist the surgical team during procedures by maintaining a sterile field and handling instruments
Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia throughout the operation
Provide post-operative care and educate patients and families on recovery and potential outcomes
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Oklahoma (or compact license accepted; must obtain OK license if not compact)
Minimum 2 years of recent RN Operating Room experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
CVOR experience strongly preferred
Must be comfortable with on-call rotations including weekends

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of perioperative nursing principles and surgical aseptic technique
Skilled in patient assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in using surgical equipment and electronic health records
