Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, various start times (7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in our Oncology PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor and manage medications including chemotherapy, heparin, and cardizem
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient comfort and safety
Support patients from diagnosis through remission and end-of-life care with dignity
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, oncology, or medsurg nursing
BLS and ACLS certification required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required
EPIC experience within 6 months preferred
Must pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Candidate must reside outside 50 miles and not be affiliated with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and handling
Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability to float to other units
