Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating; every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-level care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Manage complex patient needs including premature infants, cardiac defects, and surgical cases
Perform advanced skills like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile technique
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, midlevels, and respiratory therapists
Act as a patient advocate and educate families on care plans and discharge needs
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed, focusing on infant stabilization

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required (Level 3 will be screened closely)
Minimum 3 years of overall RN experience required
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Current BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE certification is a plus
Must be comfortable with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
Ability to pass a pass/fail SIMs lab for Foley insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in NICU nursing, especially Level 4 care
Proficient in sterile technique for central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Experience with Cerner EMR and Phillips Telemetry
Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and cardiac monitoring
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
