Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), with weekend rotations (at least every other) and 2-3 holiday shifts between Thanksgiving and New Year.

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg/Telemetry patients, including those with neurological conditions such as strokes and post-neurosurgical cases.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, titrating drips such as heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine as ordered.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and responsiveness.
• Document care accurately in EPIC, maintaining thorough patient records.
• Float to other MedSurg areas as needed to support patient flow.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact eligible)
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred but open to strong candidates without it
• Must pass an open book skills exam during orientation (90% or higher)
• No license or background hits
• Valid driver's license required for radius verification
• Ability to comply with no artificial nails policy in patient care areas
