Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating weekends as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including high-risk obstetrics
Circulate in the operating room during vaginal and cesarean deliveries and surgical procedures
Triage patients in the labor and delivery unit, prioritizing care based on acuity
Assist with tubal ligations, cerclage placement, D&C, and C-hyst procedures
Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced technology and interpret fetal monitoring strips
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care in a Level 4 maternal center

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
Experience with high-risk maternal patients
Proficiency in circulating in the operating room and triage
BLS and NRP certifications preferred
Greater than 5 years of experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Experience with CPN and Meditech EMR
Knowledge of L&D procedures: vaginal deliveries, C-sections, tubal ligations, cerclage, D&C
