Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care to cardiac patients including post-surgical and downgraded CVICU patients
Titrate drips such as Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem for blood pressure and rhythm management
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiology team
Support thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart patients
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular nursing
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license (needed for submittal)
Ability to pass an open book orientation exam with 90%
Must be outside 50 miles from the facility and not affiliated with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiovascular nursing skills
Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Drip titration for blood pressure and heart rhythm management
Knowledge of CHF, A fib RVR, CVA, and other cardiac conditions
Familiarity with BiPAP, CPAP, and oxygen delivery devices
