Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Varied 8-hour shifts between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday-Friday with occasional weekend shifts and a compensating day off during the week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients across multiple acute care units including medsurg, tele, ICU, oncology, and cardiology
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for orthopedic and total joint patients
Provide therapy for ventilated patients in the ICU, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
Manage a diverse caseload, hitting the ground running with minimal orientation
Document patient progress in Cerner EMR and communicate effectively with physicians and staff

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Active California Physical Therapy license
Current BLS certification
Experience with orthopedics, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patients
Strong clinical skills in medsurg, oncology, and cardiology populations

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment
