Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients with cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions
Titrate cardiac drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while managing arterial lines
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient experiences
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to support patients at the appropriate acuity level
Educate patients and families about medications and care plans with clear communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
Experience with titratable drips and arterial line management
Excellent communication and adaptability in a team environment
Comfort working with diverse patient populations
Willingness to float and support other units as needed
