Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for surgical patients
Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Respond to ICU patients recovering in the PACU setting
Read and interpret cardiac strips to maintain patient safety
Support the charge nurse with lunch relief and unit operations
Float to surgery center as needed to support patient care needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ED or ICU experience preferred
Epic EMR experience
Ability to work variable start times and take call as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

PACU nursing expertise with Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
Strong assessment and monitoring skills for post-surgical patients
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
Epic documentation proficiency
Ability to manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
