Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a bustling 32-bed unit
Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing your adaptability and clinical expertise
Maintain strict sterile technique during procedures and confidently manage trached patients, CVA cases, and complex neuro conditions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Neuro experience highly valued
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and central monitoring
Titration of cardiac and insulin drips
Cerner EMR documentation
Strong sterile field technique for Foley and central line procedures
Comfortable floating between telemetry and ICU overflow units
