Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and supportive team to maintain excellent patient ratios of 1:4
Float to other telemetry units as needed while delivering consistent, high-quality care
Complete bedside handoff reports and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner
Support patients and families through fast-paced, high-turnaround stays averaging 4-5 days

Qualifications

Active RN license and BLS, ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with Level 1 trauma background preferred
Neuro experience highly valued and strongly encouraged
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts before start
Must demonstrate sterile technique during orientation SIMs lab for Foley insertion and central line care

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
Confident with titrating Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
Comfortable caring for trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, and brain tumor cases
Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
Team-oriented with the flexibility to float across tele and ICU overflow units
