Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and brain tumors
Titrate critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms with precision and confidence
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver seamless patient care
Maintain sterile technique during procedures and uphold the highest standards of patient safety
Educate patients and families about their conditions and recovery plans with warmth and clarity

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with Level 1 trauma background
Neuro experience highly preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
Must demonstrate competency in sterile field techniques and central line care

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
Experience with titrating cardiac and insulin drips
Comfortable floating to other telemetry units as needed
Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
Excellent communication and bedside manner
