Registered Nurse - Neuro Acute Epilepsy Monitoring
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Start Date: 06-29-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries
- Monitor 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle neurological changes
- Assess cranial nerves and maintain strong critical thinking skills
- Collaborate with charge nurses, resource RNs, and interdisciplinary teams
- Float to MS/Tele units and sister campuses as needed while delivering exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license with minimum 2 years of experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- BSN preferred, Med Surg/Tele certification a plus
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam and SIMs Lab skills assessment
Education
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with epilepsy monitoring and neurological conditions
- Comfort with telemetry and basic ventilator management
- Ability to maintain sterile field during procedures
- Flexibility to float between units and campuses
