Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert neuro assessments and monitor patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and TBI
Maintain sterile field during critical procedures like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Detect subtle changes in patient conditions using strong critical thinking skills
Collaborate with charge nurses, resource RNs, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care
Float to MedSurg/Tele units and support sister campuses when needed
Educate and support patients and families through complex neurological diagnoses and recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 2 years of experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
BSN preferred, Med Surg/Tele certification a plus
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts before acceptance

Education

BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Neuro assessment and critical thinking expertise
Sterile field maintenance and infection prevention
Telemetry monitoring and ventilator management (BiPAP)
Patient education and family communication
Adaptability to float between units and campuses
