Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule and rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients waiting for placement from the Emergency Department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips like Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone according to physician orders
Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving to inpatient units
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to med/surg/tele and overflow units across campuses as census requires

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of strong cardiac telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
Comfortable with a pass/fail SIM lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Titration of cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Strong assessment skills for medical-surgical/telemetry patients
Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
Flexibility to float between campuses and units as needed
