Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care for patients waiting in the ED for placement on med/surg/tele units
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to ensure patient safety
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone according to physician orders
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
Float to med/surg/tele and overflow units as needed to support hospital operations
Assist with ED patient care tasks including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when requested

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of strong cardiac telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Comfortable with titration of cardiac drips and reading/interpreting telemetry strips

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Titration of drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to float between units and campuses as needed
