Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients waiting for placement from the Emergency Department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving to inpatient units
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to med/surg/tele and overflow units across campuses as the team needs you

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong cardiac telemetry background with at least 2 years of experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and SIM lab on day one of orientation
Comfortable working with cardiac drips and reading/interpreting telemetry strips

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Titration of cardiac medications including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for tele and med/surg patients
Ability to adapt to floating between units and campuses
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
