Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-09-2026

End Date: 09-08-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized therapy plans for post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery outcomes
Document progress and adjust treatment approaches based on patient response
Support patients through critical phases of healing and rehabilitation

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience essential
Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including post-surgical and neurological cases

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
Experience with TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA patients
Ability to adapt quickly across different hospital departments
Excellent communication and documentation skills
