Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Treat a diverse patient population including post-surgical, orthopedic, stroke, and general medical cases
Deliver hands-on therapy in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and outcomes
Document progress and adjust treatment plans to meet individual patient goals

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with support from one rehab aide

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute care physical therapy
Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple hospital units
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Adaptable approach to patient care across different diagnoses
