Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times including 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; occasional weekend coverage required with a compensatory weekday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy services across acute care units including med-surg, tele, ICU, and oncology
Deliver hands-on care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and total joint replacements
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans
Support ventilated patients in the ICU with specialized therapy interventions
Evaluate and treat a diverse patient population with varying medical needs
Document patient progress using Cerner EMR system

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in ortho, total joints, and ICU/ventilated patient care
Comfortable working with cardiac surgery patients and diverse medical populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy expertise across multiple hospital units
Experience with ventilated patients and ICU therapy
Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
Ability to adapt quickly and hit the ground running
Strong clinical skills in ortho, oncology, and cardiac populations
