Location: Herrin, Illinois

Start Date: 06-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 4 days a week with rotating day off, plus 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month for call requirements

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in transporting and positioning patients with care and compassion
Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for upcoming procedures
Open sterile supplies and set up instruments for smooth surgical flow
Support surgeons by passing instruments and sutures during procedures
Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies
Handle specimens with precision and attention to detail
Decontaminate and properly store instruments and equipment
Help turn over operating rooms quickly for the next case

Qualifications

Active BLS certification required
Graduate of an accredited OR technician program or equivalent training
Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience
Strong sterile technique and instrument handling skills

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
